Help Us Win the TBACU Challenge

Grand Traverse Academy is one of 12 area schools which entered the TBA Credit Union Box Tops Challenge.  Credit Union customers are dropping off their Box Tops for Education coupons, which will be awarded to the school that receives the most “likes” on the TBACU Facebook page by September 30.  If you haven’t already done so, visit the TBACU Facebook page and “like” Grand Traverse Academy.  Feel free to encourage your Facebook friends to do the same – with your help, we can win the challenge and all the Box Tops that TBACU collects!



Summer Quality Care Offered

Quality Care will be available to GTA families this summer!  The program, open to children ages three through the 6th grade, will be a mix of guided activities and free play.  Hours are 7:00 am-6:00 pm Monday-Friday, and full- and half-day options and a flexible weekly schedule are available.  Information and pricing is included in the required registration materials which should be completed and returned, along with the registration fee, to the Elementary office by Monday, May 16 so that we may plan for staffing.  Questions may be directed to Cathy Marrow at marrowc@mygta.us or 932-6901.

"Spring Sing" Concerts Set

Elementary students will celebrate the music of Broadway at their annual Spring Sing concerts, set for April 4, 5 and 7 (right after Spring Break!).  This year we will have a total of six concerts, with grades 1 and 2 performing at 6:00 pm and grades 3 and 4 at 7:00 pm.  All performances will take place in the Small Gym.  See the Connections newsletter for dates and times for your child's class.  



Band Fundraiser Announced

Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 17, when our six junior high and high school bands converge for their one and only annual fundraiser, Jazz ‘n’ Joes.  This year’s musical theme will be New Orleans-style jazz.  A delicious sloppy joe dinner from El Dorado Catering will be served (or available for take-out) in the Small Gym from 4:00-7:30 pm, and band
