Mark your calendars for the GTA Family Council Welcome Back Picnic on Sunday, August 27 from 1-3 pm! Current GTA families and staff are invited to attend this fun event at Sayler Park on Yuba Park Road, 3.5 miles north of Acme. Check your email box for details and contact information for your questions or to RSVP. What a great opportunity to reconnect with the GTA community and meet some new families!

Stop by at your convenience any time during the scheduled hours to meet teachers, find lockers, catch up with friends and meet some new ones, and receive important information and paperwork for the school year. Friday, February 17: School is cancelled today due to the weather. All elementary and junior high extra-curricular activities are also cancelled. Decisions about high school athletic events will be made by noon today.


As a reminder, Monday, February 20 is our Mid-Winter Break and there will be NO SCHOOL for students and staff. We'll see you on Tuesday, the 21st.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, January 12, is our next Fill the Pantry Jeans Day to help replenish our lunch pantry for less fortunate students (and those who occasionally forget their lunch at home). Students and staff may wear school-appropriate jeans (no holes, rips or legging-style) with a uniform top in exchange for a $2 per person donation. We thank you for your assistance, which is always voluntary.


Congratulations to our Mustangs VEX Robotics Team 7567A, "Some Assembly Required" (Isaac Deneau, Ashton Cherup and Coleman Mroczkowski), on their invitation to participate in the CREATE 2023 U.S. Open Robotics VRC High School Championship! The invitation was based on their amazing performance at the Benzie tournament last weekend; winning the Design Award is no easy feat! The championship will be held in Council Bluffs, Iowa March 23-25, 2023. Stay tuned for livestream information as the date approaches!


Just a reminder that tomorrow, Thursday, November 17 is a school-wide GTA Cares Jeans Day to help replenish our student lunch pantry for under-resourced students or those who occasionally forget to bring their lunch to school. For a $2 per person donation, all students and staff may wear jeans (no holes or tears, please) with a uniform top. We appreciate your participation, which is voluntary.

The forecast is calling for sunshine for the GTA Fall Family Fun Day at Jacob's Farm tomorrow (Saturday, October 29). The fun begins at 2:00 pm but you'll want to arrive a bit early to purchase tickets for the corn maze. Details are attached to the October 14, 21 and 28 issues of the Connections newsletter. October 18, Last-Minute Postponement: Due to Elk Rapids losing power, tonight’s Sabres co-op district soccer game has been postponed until tomorrow at 5:00pm.

As a reminder, GTA's power is back on and tonight's varsity volleyball game will take place as scheduled, at home vs. Cadillac Homeschool, at 5:30 pm. Tonight's Sabres co-op soccer districts will go on as planned at Elk Rapids vs. Boyne City. Tickets are $5 per person at the gate.
